Wallberry Farm
Based on 15 acres of land, just outside of Douglas, Wallberry Farm is a place where it’s not just the animal and plants that are growing. It’s where children and young people can experience something a little different, discover new things about themselves and learn practical skills as well. Our farm is home to animals, three polytunnels, a herb and vegetable garden, an orchard, bee hives and a conservation area.
We work with Isle of Man primary and secondary schools, to develop programmes that complement the skills learnt in the classroom. Wallberry Farm is also a community space for local groups, making sure it benefits as many people as possible.
Learning, developing, growing
Research shows that connecting children and young people to nature is very beneficial. We find doing that in a new place also provides a powerful new perspective on life.
Combined with the support and guidance from our expert team, Wallberry Farm is an important space for us. It’s where lives can be changed, with difficult life experiences being turned into brighter futures.
Wild space
Wallberry Farm is also home to our five-acre conservation area. This is a wetland habitat with a rich diversity of plant and animal life. It’s also where you can find the hobbit house, Celtic roundhouse, beehives and orchard.
