Ways to donate

Leave a legacy

Leaving a Gift in your Will can help us continue to put children, young people and families first on the Isle of Man.

At The Children's Centre we put children, young people and families first and so we understand that when the time comes for you to make a Will, you your family and loved ones are first in your thoughts too.

But perhaps you would be kind enough to consider The Children's Centre as well, and help us make a difference to thousands of children's lives each week.

You can do this by leaving The Children's Centre a Gift in your Will.

Why Wills are important

By choosing to make a Will you are ensuring that your possessions and property are distributed in a way that you truly want and to those you care about.

You can make a difference

Every gift in every Will makes a difference however large or small. Here's one example of what a previous gift in a Will was able to achieve...

In 2008 The Children's Centre was lucky enough to receive a gift in a Will which enabled us to realise our vision of a truly integrated children's centre and begin building work for the extension at our Woodbourne Road site.

The extension was opened in October 2009 and will remain a lasting reminder of one person's generosity towards their community.

What to do next

Leaving a gift in your Will is an amazing and very personal gift and it is entirely up to you whether you choose to tell us about it.

The simple Pledge Form is available here. This also includes the wording you need and our glossary of terms will help breakdown any legal jargon.

However, telling us about your gift enables us to thank you and keep you updated on the valuable work we do and what your gift will help us to continue to do.

We will only correspond with you with your permission, and fully respect your decision should you wish not to.

In Memory Donations

When someone special dies, you can celebrate their life and make a positive contribution in their memory by making a donation.

You can make the arrangements through a funeral director

Alternatively you can donate on-line

If you prefer you can send your donation, along with the name of the person in whose memory the donation is being made, by post to:

The Fundraising Team, The Children's Centre, Wallberry Farm, Old Castletown Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM4 1AQ

If you would like us to write to the next of kin informing them of your donation (but not the amount), please contact us and we will be pleased to do so.
