Join us for the Liverpool to Leeds Canal Wellbeing Cycle Challenge!
This unique event takes you on a 127-mile journey along the Liverpool to Leeds canal towpath in support The Children’s Centre. Over the course of two days, you’ll ride along the predominantly flat route, cycling through a diverse mix of urban industrial heritage, peaceful countryside, picturesque market towns, and historic canal locks. Along the journey, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on your own mental and physical wellbeing while enjoying the ever-changing scenery of the canal.

• Arrival: Liverpool, Monday 7th April
• Riding Dates: Monday 7th April & Tuesday 8th April
• Return Home: Wednesday 9th April
The Route:
• Day 1: Liverpool to Blackburn – 64 miles
• Day 2: Blackburn to Leeds – 63 miles
The route will take you from Stanley Dock in the centre of Liverpool, past relics of the area’s rich industrial heritage, through swathes of wide-open farmland, and through quaint market towns before returning to the urban vibrancy of Leeds city centre. Whether you do it for the personal challenge of the ride itself, or to take yourself to a place where you can soak in the open skies and countryside, it’s the perfect ride to restore your wellbeing while making a meaningful impact.

The trip will cost £300 per rider (£360 for single occupancy) which will cover all trip costs. We ask that you fundraise £300, which will go directly to working with children and families on Island. Once you have registered we will send you handy hints and easy fundraising ideas.
The package includes:
Two nights bed and breakfast accommodation.
All transport (ferry foot passenger, return journey from Leeds ).
Fully guided ride with a detailed pre-departure itinerary.
Full daily support whilst riding including minibus support.
Light lunch and refreshments during each day’s ride.
To secure your place, we need a deposit of £100 by February 8th 2025.
