Zurich's Fun on the Farm at The Children's Centre

We are excited to announce that Zurich will be hosting a Fun on the Farm here at The Children's Centre to raise funds and awareness for our cause.

This year, Zurich has generously supported The Children's Centre by donating materials and staff time to help us complete our wild space area. Their interns played a significant role in this project. However, due to limited parking, we face challenges in opening the site for family events and other activities when it’s not being used for therapeutic services.

To overcome this, Zurich has brainstormed fundraising ideas to generate enough income to build an onsite car park. With this addition, we could host more family events, offer private hire options, and create new opportunities to support our services.

The event will be held at our site, with tickets priced at £5 per child and £3 per adult. Please note that due to parking restrictions, spaces are limited.

We’re tucked away just outside of Douglas on the Old Castletown Road. Our farm is home to animals, three polytunnels, a herb and vegetable garden, an orchard, bee hives and a wild space.

You’ll bump in to our animals as you lead yourself around the farm. Say hi to the Donkeys, Juan and Dougal, have a chat with our Goat Andrew, and be introduce to our Tamworth pigs – Bert and Ernie. Our flock of ducks are always busy bobbing about. And not forgetting our adorable cats, Bob, Socks, Bill and Ted.

Wander around our wild space discovering our outdoor instruments and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful conservation area.

The courtyard is a hub for play with our outdoor games, building bricks and crafts in the long barn.

We have a cheeky gnome trail that you can explore as you wander round the farm. Pick up a trail sheet on your arrival.

A great day out suitable for all ages. Unfortunately we can not allow dogs on the farm.

The session is self-lead and runs from 9am – 12pm or 1pm 4pm.

Hot drinks, delicious sausage baps (with a veggie option), and a variety of refreshments will be available for purchase. Enjoy face painting, pottery, and a raffle supported by numerous local businesses.
