LottoGo to Support Race the Sun 2020

LottoGo.com, the flagship brand of Annexio Limited, are delighted to announce they will continue to sponsor Race the Sun 2020, an event organised by The Children's Centre.

Taking place on Saturday 16th May 2020 Race the Sun is a relay race is like no other. Starting at sunrise team of 10 must complete an anti-clockwise lap of the demanding 100-mile footpath before the sun sets. The course is split into 10 demanding sections and follows the Raad ny Foillan, the islands stunning coastal footpath. But beware - this scenic challenge is definitely not for the faint-hearted, and a team of strength, stamina and agility is essential as the course covers significant hills, impressive sandy beaches, picturesque glens, estuaries and exposed cliff tops.

John Spellman, Director of Annexio, said, "We are delighted to support such a community-driven event. Race the Sun is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and your team to push beyond your comfort zone in aid of vulnerable children who face arduous challenges on a day to day basis. It's a cause that's always been close to our heart and we couldn't be prouder and more supportive of the hard work The Children's Centre offer to provide a safe and fun environment for the children of our island."

Joff Whitten, Head of The Children's Centre, said "When I started last year I was fascinated by the Race the Sun event and slightly in awe of all those who undertook the challenge. And as such I am determined to put together a team of like-minded hopeless hopefuls to take part in the race with me this year; safe in the knowledge we will come last.
We as a charity are continually amazed and humbled at the generosity and support we get from the islands community. The work we do with vulnerable, at risk and challenged children, young people and families is as needed as it has ever been, especially as the world moves further into uncertain times. Good luck to those wishing to compete and I will see you at the finish line. Eventually."

Registration is now open. The event has been a sell out for the past three years so we're urging teams to register now, by going to our website https://www.thechildrenscentre.org.im/events/

In previous years the event has been a great success, raising over £120,000 in total which has been effectively used to support children and young people in the Isle of Man through many projects run by The Children's Centre

Now embarking on its 12th year, the event aims to break the existing record and raise over £130,000.

There will be a prize evening  with a sunset supper at The Marine Hotel in Peel.
