Well, that wasn’t quite what we expected!
2020

2020.
Well, that wasn't quite what we expected.
I am pretty sure all of us want to forget this strange of strangest years. But even within the difficulties, the tragedies and hardships beautiful things have happened. For me personally my big girl learnt to ride this year and as a dad that is a moment of great joy. Within the team we've had two new babies, three new faces join us, a proposal of marriage (she said yes!) and most amazingly of all a new voice from someone we didn't expect to speak.
I want to thank all the families, children and young people we work with – this year has been so hard on so many but you all bring us such joy – for the challenges you face on a daily basis, the ways you find resilience and the successes you achieve.
I'm sure all of us hope 2021 will be a much better year but we also must be patient and work together. If there is one thing this pandemic has shown us is that we are stronger together than we are apart.
Happy Christmas to everyone, and a special thanks to anyone who has helped us this year. We've done some brilliant things this year and I am really excited for the amazing things we can do next year.
On behalf of all the team at the Children's Centre.
