The Children’s Centre ‘COVID-19’ Update

The Children’s Centre ‘COVID-19’ Update

The Children's Centre would like to wish everyone on island and around the world support and our thoughts at this complex time. We know how worried people are getting so we want to make sure we make the right choices and do the right things at this unprecedented time.

Our work with young people is usually one to one and we will carry on with this unless there is further change in suggested best practice, schools are still open and children, young people and families need help and support. As we are a farm we look after animals, and so we will carry on working here until it is better for us to close our doors. No one at the farm has displayed any symptoms and we are taking appropriate precautions with those who have just returned from holiday.

With respect to our calendar of events, we will continue to monitor and will advise as soon as we can if there are to be any postponements.

We will discuss with schools, parents and others to make sure those who are vulnerable still get the support they need and make choices that they trust. We take our duty of care very seriously and will do as much as we can to help the families we work with – if anyone is stuck or needs help they would be welcome to contact us. It's times like this that we all need to work together and think of each other; one sterile person will not prevent an outbreak, only everyone working together can have an impact
